The standard current draw of a static LCD module at normal operating temperature is between 1.2uA/squre cm to 1.5uA per square cm. The required current is higher for a wide temperature LCD module. This does not include the power required for a LED backlight or EL backlight.
In most cases, when a customer is looking for a ultra low power LCD display, they use a segmented module only. This glass only solution includes a static display or a multiplex custom LCD design.
Focus display LCD’s have the following options.
- 3V LCD driving voltage of 5V LCD driving voltage.
- Normal temperature or wide operating temperature
- TN, STN or FSTN
- Parallel interface and SPI interface
